Aadhaar Scale national projects with the aim of building a secure, reliable and centralized repository of personal data and biometric demographic, initiated by the Government of India.Aadhaar program, executed by the unique Identification Authority of India(UIDAI).
The first number aadhaar was launched in Maharashtra in the village of Tembli, the September 29, 2010 by the Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan, in August presence of Shri Nandan Nilekani and Shri Montek Singh Ahluwalia. Aadh be extended to about 600 million citizens over the next 4-5 years.
